Kathryn Blume, Intern

After several decades as a theater artist, writer, yoga teacher, musician, life coach, and climate justice activist. I come to the world of counseling with a capacity for deep listening, a small ocean of compassion, a clear-eyed understanding of the pervasively oppressive systems with which we all must contend, and profound faith in everyone’s ability to heal.

I believe it’s possible to find joy, meaning, and purpose, even in the face of trauma, stress, and sorrow, and that we all have the potential to grow and transform right up to our very last breath.

I’m drawn to the tools of mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, and Internal Family Systems – all within a strengths-based, feminist context.

My particular interests are in women’s health (including peri/menopause), climate grief, relationships, gender and sexuality, and ethical non-monogamy.

I am a non-licensed therapist working under the supervision of Nicole Grubman.
