David Mercier

My name is David Mercier, and I am a master’s-level counseling intern working under the supervision of Nicole Grubman, LCMHC. My path to counseling began through my work in special education and my background in psychology, where I developed a strong interest in supporting people as they navigate challenges, transitions, and personal growth.

My professional interests include neurodivergence, depression, anxiety, grief, spirituality, and life transitions, and I enjoy working with both youth and adults. I believe that counseling is not one-size-fits-all, and I adapt my approach to each person’s unique needs, experiences, and goals as our therapeutic relationship develops.

Outside of counseling, I enjoy spending time in nature, engaging in somatic and mindfulness practices, and spending time with my nieces and nephews.
